Urban Decay
"A successful society is characterized by a rising living standard for its population, increasing investment in factories and basic infrastructure, and the generation of additional surplus, which is invested in generating new discoveries in science and technology" - Robert Trout
Dealing with infrastructure everything serves a purpose. If something is there, it is there to serve a purpose, all uniform, all efficient, and mostly outdated. Rather then a urban decay, this is more of a infrastructure decay. Shown are things that serve a purpose; that stand outs in society have left a mark on till its final decay and replacement. All photos were taken in Athens, Ohio on the Ohio University Campus, a melting pot of society stand outs.

“Who sees the human face correctly: the photographer, the mirror, or the painter?” -Pablo Picasso

For the Portrait project I would unlike to uncover the whole person (physical, mental, and spiritual) through close ups of the body part that says all; the face. If books are read by their covers then humans are read by their face. Humans can alter their image through the cloths they wear, body modifications and how one interacts with its environment but the face is the only natural body part in which our image is generated. What do these faces tell you about the person?

Motion Blur;
"The evil that men do lives after them,
The good is oft interred with their bones,"
Our everyday consists of million of actions, task and jobs we give no more then a thought too.
Once the day is done we can only see these actions, task and jobs as blurs among the whole picture.
Everything we do, every action we take, we leave a trace behind.
